where you located? value is regional - but Kelly Blue Book quotes $6000 for private sale in "excellent condition". Note that low mileage is not as big a factor on a 15 year old car - maintenance history is. If you can get a car fax and maintenance history that shows regular maintenance etc then you may want to pay the higher end. Go to KBB.COM to get some numbers and if you like it, be ready to ask for the CarFax report, whether they have maintenance records, whether all mechanicals are 100%. Also, check when the timing belt was done. It should have been done recently or it will need to be the first thing you do when you get the car - its not a cheap repair ($500-$700). Even if the factory says 90K miles or 105K miles, the belt should be replaced every 7-8 years so either way you may need to get that done or risk a belt failure and $2500 engine rebuild.
