Someone please let me know if you have hard shifting in 1 &2 gear. I didn't want to put in a new transmission.

 

There are many possible solutions short of a trans replacement. Fluid change (with the correct fluid) would be a good first start. Then a valve body replacement MIGHT solve your problem.

There will be others that will mention rebuilding solenoids, or other solutions. And yes some of those will be viable.
