98 v70xc fuel level sensor problem
Have 98 v70xc that fuel gauge currently reading E with full tank. I used volvo wiring diagram(s) and figured out the fuel level sensor on passenger side reading 0 ohms while fuel level sensor on driver side reading 12 ohms. I was able to bypass sensor reading zero and with only driver side fuel sensor wired to fuel gauge I read full tank. My question is does anyone know if having just driver side fuel level sensor on 98 v70xc wired to fuel gauge will I get a correct fuel level reading? I do not want to drop fuel tank (to much work) just for the fuel gauge to work off both fuel level sensors.

Error Code 0460, What does it mean?
You may be able to access the tank by removing the back seat. I recall seeing a You Tube video some time ago, but I'm not certain which car it was.
My '01 S60 just failed emissions test and Fuel Level Sensor was one of the codes, P0460, among other symptoms pointing to an O2 sensor and vacuum leak. Mine had an episode of wacky fuel readings about 9 months ago but has been reading normal since the one incident of a week duration.
Can error codes be dormant data from ancient history or do they represent a current status? How does one reset a code? Can I simply disconnect the battery and reset everything to get all new data? Or is that a bad move?

a similar MINOR problem, but now the pump is shot AND THE TANK IS FULL ! ..... the tank need not be dropped to get at the pump. Use a cold chisel to cut an approximately 7"x7" hole, twenty minutes through the mallable body area around the passenger's side rear seat red clip holder thingy, keep an eye on it from below and you should not cut through any fuel lines. I suggest leaving two 3/4" bits uncut on the door side and just bend the cut piece out of the way. Do that in order to make a stronger bond when returning the cut piece to function with the seat holder thingy. A request for SVTfocus03 ...you mention a tool for getting at the fuel through the filler neck... I NEED THAT, PLEASE HELP, THANKS
