Default Starting issues

Tried to post the other day, why is it I can't find it anywhere? Anyone out there willing to help? 99.5 XC70, 200k, temp gauge started bouncing, staying buried then rising, then dropping again. Then the car will start fine once, then be unwilling to restart. Have the usual ETS, and transmission arrow displays on dash, probably related to the non-operating viscous coupling, but that's not caused issues for the past few years. P1618 code thrown, anyone interested in lending a hand, ideas? Sincerely, Brian

if you are a new member, sometimes the system requests moderator approval. regarding the issues - have you checked system voltage at start up?

How does one go about getting moderator approval? And what should the system voltage at start up be, and how do I check it? I can say the battery and starter appear fine, you can perform lots of cranking, certainly spins fast enough and for plenty of time
