2001 V70T5 - What am I missing?
I'm hoping someone on here can answer this question for me. My car was in for service a couple of months ago. Today I was taking a look at fluid levels and noticed that something seemed to be missing. The rigid plastic piping that goes from the front of the computer cover (don't know how else to name it) to a sensor on the radiator is missing (shown here with a red box around it)
I"m going to call the dealership tomorrow but can anyone tell me why this piece of hose would make a difference? It hasn't affected the performance of the car but I"m guessing it has a reason.
Thanks,
Peter

You are missing a vent hose that just brings cool air to the computer box. That particular one is only on a 2001 model. I'm not sure it's coming from a sensor. There is an air pump on the other side of the computer box that pulls air through. I think the front end of the hose is just having air forced through. I'm going to look around here for an '01 model to see if I can grab a pic.
I also have a 01 V70 T5. I don't have the hose, and my inlet to the computer is plugged. When I pulled the plug, I see the wall behind it is solid, so the plug was for decoration only. From this I'd conclude the hose is not required.

My 01 has no hose either. It looks like ther may have been a hose original but I got this V70 a few months ago and have not reached that as an issue yet. Plenty of other problems to fix. i.e. front end struts control arms tie rod ends ball joints wheel hubs brakes and not even to the rear yet. Tranny drains and fills, crankcase drains and fills, door dents, missfires from coils, bad front end alignment (local front end shop for align only) goods thing. Its worth all the repairs and elbow grease so far not giving up yet.
