2004 V70 Radio / Headlights On at Ignition
I have a 2004 Volvo V70 that, periodically, will have the radio and/or headlights turn on (complete with changing the position of the switch) upon ignition of the engine. Most of often it is the radio, but occasionally it will be the headlights, and this is what bothers me. I've yet to observe the lights being turned on when the car is off, though there was one occasion 18 months ago when one of my coworkers alerted me to my lights being on, but upon checking I found the lights off and the switch in the off position.
This only ever happens in the afternoon after the car has sat for 9 hours or so. I do not recall any time when this has happened after the car has been idle overnight.
Is this a known problem with this era of Volvos? I'm assuming it is related to some kind of computer function, as this generation seems to have its fair share of those issues, but I wanted to see if I could find out if it would affect something like battery performance.
