Default 2004 v70 total power loss

So here's the deal, my wife was driving her 04 v70 (145k miles) this afternoon (warmest day so far this year, 90 outside). While making a left hand turn at about 15mph she experienced a total power loss...power steering, gas, brake all cut out. All dash warning lights illuminated as well. Luckily she was able to roll to a stop without hitting anything or anyone. She put the car in park, waited a minute and then started it up again and drove off without further incident. She said the car started up normally after the system failure.
I haven't been able to find much out online so here we are. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a good idea to have the car plugged and read possible codes as this could indicate an important electronic issue that can further develop. As a side note, I'd be aware of having the car repaired at Volvo, as they will have a tendency of guessing the issue and suggest costly repairs that won't necessarily point to the issue.

I'm thinking about possible CEM module damage (inside the cabin, under the dash), see article below. Also inspect the ECM cooling fan under the hood is working. But this are only a few possibilities.
