where is the fuel filter?

 

if you don't see the cannister under the car (ahead of the rear wheels), it means your car doesn't have a user serviceable filter (ie its inside the tank and is part of the pump assembly). Pretty sure your model/year has the internal filter.

 

There is no 2.5T for 2008 V70s.

If its a 2008, there is no fuel filter.
If its a 2.5T, its a 2007 and the filter is under the car by the right rear tire if you have a plastic fuel tank. Metal tanks have no filter.

 

good point about the metal tank. I forgot to note that as a good rule of thumb.

 

My 2007 non-turbo has a metal tank (why'd they change from the plastic I wonder?) and no external filter.

They didn't change from plastic, they offered both. California spec cars require metal tanks.
