Brake Lights
I have a problem with the brake lights on my 2002 V70 Basic not working.
I checked fuses, OK. Check bulbs also OK, then check for voltage at the bulb socket and there was none. Found a bulletin to replace the brake light single relay with two upgraded relays to solve this problem which I purchased from Volvo and installed. Still no brake lights. Thought I should add also checked for ground. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I am at wits end. Thanks in advance. |
Is it on both sides or just one side? Also are all the other lights in that cluster of bulbs working?

Both sides are out plus the rear fog light. The rest of the lights are working. Like I said I replaced the relay with two upgrade relays in the REM. I also found a post with instructions on testing the shunt in the REM which I did and it was good.

Boy did I really miss the obvious. Some way, a senior moment, I missed checking the 7.5 fuse in the REM. After reading a great description along with a wiring diagram. I decided to check again and the 7.5 fuse was missing. I was just testing all the fuses in the REM and did not catch that it was not there.
