Does anyone have experience replacing a transmission from Erie Volvo?

It "appears" to be a better solution than paying my independent Volvo mechanic $1400 to replace the valve bodies, which he said "should" fix the problem, but not guaranteed. The Erie Volvo transmission is $1K, $150 shipping, and $700 for my guy to install. What makes this seem like the best solution is the lifetime replacement warranty from Erie (as long as I own it). Am I missing anything on the Erie Volvo approach?
