Ex police volvo t5 2006 2.4 petrol
Weird sound coming from engine bay sounds like a whinning squealing sound when I rev the car or drive for like mins minutes.

to post a video, use the Go Advanced feature - you need to make sure you upload / attach a file in a supported format/extension. Oddly, MP4 is not on the list and that's probably what your phone is creating. Try an online file conversion tool or change the extension to .mpg...
Can't say that I've ever heard a sound like that - but it changes pitch with the revs so I'd start checking in the accessory belt area - AC, power steering, alternator, belt idlers, tensioners etc. It almost sounds like one of the belts (timing belt or drive belt) is wandering like something is out of alignment and the outside edge is rubbing. That said, you should get it checked out asap by a professional shop in case it is related to the timing belt. If that goes, you are out a lot of money. Better to pay 100 for a proper diagnosis than 3000 for a valve job.

I hope the link i sent is useful my pal was reving it thats the sound it makes when driving to ive been told its the turbo but im still not sure. Also thankyou for previous reply.
also another link this is what it sounded like when i started it on a cold start it does sound like something could be rubbing against something but ive still not got a clue im a 20 year old apprentice looking to learn about volvos
