Default Funky Brakes???

We have a wonderful 2005 V70. But right now it is hard to back up. All brakes were redone two years ago. But, right now it seems the rear brakes are resisting when I want to back the car up. Rolls free for about 8 inches then it want to stop. It will back up if I get on the accelerator and force it.

Could a caliper have come loose? I don't even know if it has disk brakes on the rear, and it's too cold to go look. 3 degrees in rural Illinois.

I'm fishing for ideas about what might cause this. All ideas are appreciated.

First thought is that the park brake shoes have delaminated or started to.

That sounds like something to look at. I just had the car out to see how it would act now that it's warmed up a bit (22 degrees). I found that it rolls forward great, no problem with 'forward'. Backwards, the left rear wheel actually locks up. I can slide it along the road surface, but it won't roll.
Sure wish I knew something about brakes.
