Haynes or other shop manual?
First thing I do when I get a new-to-me vehicle is get the factory service manual. If you've ever used one, you'll agree that Haynes and Chilton don't hold a candle to them. I scoured the net when I got my 02 V70, only to find out that a real hard copy of the FSM does not appear to exist. So now I use a knockoff version of VIDA on an older laptop. It gets the job done, but it still takes me awhile to navigate through all the menus. The nice part is you can integrate the knockoff DICE scanner with it and avoid the need for dealer interaction for most operations other than programming a new module or upgrading software.
BTW - I had difficulty finding Hayne's manual for my 02 as well. I gave up looking after getting VIDA working.
