Installed K&N Filter now runs like s#@t!!!!!
Just dropped in a standard K&N air filter into my 2001 Volvo V70 T5 this morning. Started it up to head to airport and it was running very rough. Drove approx 8-10 miles to airport and check engine light came on, acceleration was horrible and was running very rough. What happened??? Did I screw up Mass Air Sensor or is something else going on??? I heard it takes a a bit for ECM to recognized increased air flow but this seems really strange. Car is in airport for a few days so any advice would be much appreciated????
Thanks!!!

I had issues at first. First, make sure that the turbo inlet pipe is over the inlet of the turbo.
That corrected my stalling on startup.
Then make sure the connectors are tight on the BCS and MAF.
Then I was still having over boost issues. It would spike to 15 lbs and then fall to 5 psi. I took it to my indy shop and they couldn't diagnose it.
I fixed it by doing a hard reset on the ecu:
1) remove negatove battery cable and then the positive.
2) zip tie the conectors together (not to the battery)
3) pump brake pedal a few times and let it sit for 20 minutes
4) reconnect positive then negative terminals
Should be good to go. At least that worked for me and it was 1500 miles ago.
I am going to make it a habit to reset the ECU when ever I make changes to the air system.
Also, Make sure you didn't pinch a vacuum line when you reinstalled the airbox lid.
