-09 v70 and its been acting up lately. Batteries have been changed first thing but didn't do a thing.
So the issues are that occasionally it won't open or lock the doors - or just one or 2 doors - and also sometimes car wont accept the fob and ao won't be able to start. Or will not give the fob out.
At first we thought it was because car battery voltage was 11.88V but since we have charged the battery we have driven only once without issues.

 

You probably have a bad ignition switch causing the key insertion, removal and start problems. The slot you put the key in. Unfortunately that part is a module and requires a software download using VIDA is required to make a new one work. I have replaced a few for that problem.

A good first step would be a scan using VIDA or a compatible scan tool to be able to diagnose the problem. I trust you have the same unlocking problems with both your keys?

 

Yeah issue is with both keys.
Have to say sounds kinda pricy issue. Ill ask local repair shop about the diag and hope it's repairable.
Will get back later when ill know more.

 

They will need a VIDA subscription and a DICE unit to be able to "program" the new ignition switch module to the car if determined to be the problem.
