Hi can anyone offer advice on my V70, The problem i have is the alarm service required message comes on intermittently and general service required, and iv just changed the oil and filters ???? cheers RB.

 

Provide the year of your V70. With it I can provide the procedure for turning your service reminder off.
The car doesn't know you've just changed the oil and filters. Which filters did you change btw?

The alarm unit is battery powered. You can buy a replacement unit or open yours and replace the batteries.
Do the latter before the old batteries leak and destroy the circuit board.

 

most common service light reset is via the odometer reset button (google or search youtube for the procedure) - but its something like press/hold the odometer reset button then turn the key to position 2, press/hold the button until the service light starts to flash 3. let go and you should hear a beep. turn the key to off, then go ahead and start the car to see if the service light turns off immediately following the start up.
