Problem after fitting new ETM
#1
![Question](https://volvoforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have a 2003 V70 2.3 T5, manual box with 75,000 on the clock
I had a new ETM fitted which solves the "kangaroo-ing" when cold and makes me feel I'm in charge of the accelerator again.
It was diagnosed, supplied and fitted by an independent Volvo specialist with an excellent reputation.
Now the problem I have is that at full throttle the engine does not pull or run as nicely as it did - it runs best at something just less than full throttle.
Even as the revs get higher (3000 up to 6000 rpm) if I lift my foot slightly the engine tone changes and it pulls harder.
There is also a small miss-fire, a stutter, usually at about 4000 rpm. I don't think the 2 problems are related as it had this stutter from when I bought it 1,500 miles ago.
Any ideas ?
I'd love to get this car running well. It burns no oil and its very quiet...until you give it the beans LOL
Any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers,
Jerry

re the fuel pressure, its really about things that can influent the air/fuel mix. there's the pump, filter, fuel pressure sensor and the injectors can cause issues along with other sensors (O2s, temperature, MAP, MAF etc) that can impact fuel trim. You may also have a boost leak or something boost related going on. Typical they'd throw a code or two so you may want to have a scan done.
