Default Rear brakes V70

At 135,000 miles the rear brakes on our V70 had never been touched, so...I decided it must be time.

Bought from a supposed reputable source new pads and rotors. Removed calipers and rotors, installed new rotors, reloaded calipers with new pads, and I could not get the mounting screws on the calipers to line up. I took it apart and tried to install several times. Still no go. Finally asked a professional to look at it. Took him two minutes - ,

"You've got the wrong rotors"

"But, but, I bought them from a reputable source and they bolted right on".

"Wrong rotors, wrong offset."

I bought new rotors locally.

Went back together in two minutes.

I'm requesting a little more detail.
Source of the first set? Online, local store? your error or the counterman's?

What brand worked? Thanks

The unusable ones, somewhere on line. I don't recall, but they were advertised as fitting V70. The good ones are Japanese, blanchard ground. They were gorgeous. Here they are online.
