2007 V70 base w/o 3rd seat.

How do you get the interior panel off the tailgate. I need to get into it and lube the lock and latch parts.

If it's the same as my 2004 SE, then there are two screws to the side, and two under the panel at the bottom edge. Once these are out, carefully (with a plastic spatula or similar) pry the panel away from the tailgate. There are 7 (seven) plastic clips which hold the panel in place. They do break quite easily.

 

Thanks for the reply. Must've been a busy, distracting day when I asked because I just looked and immediately saw the panel's screws. They weren't at all hidden.
