V-70 Rehab project continues
Hope all have a nice memorial day weekend. The v-70 project continues with another crazy sunroof issue i can't figure out. The siren alarm solved the sunroof closing problem. Well the automatic RV mirror was driving me nuts like looking over and under the tidal change(coastline). I visited the local volvo salv age yard and found a good auto mirror as i thought. I installed the mirror and all was fine until I tried to open the sunroof on a nice day and it did not work'again'. First place to check was all the connections at the overhead reading light console and the mirror mounting. i unplugged the mirror connection 'again' and the sunroof came alive and worked fine. Next day sun roof did not work. repeated the same inspection of connection and restored the sunroof operation again. Well tonight after work on the comute home the sunroof failed to work again. Good thing it is alway's failing in the closed position. This is a long story and I hope not boring. I do not think it is a bad connection at the replacement mirror as I cannot get any indication of this as I try to disturb the connection that plugs to the bac k of the mirror. Any suggestions out there/ Tomorrow I am removing the ground connection at the battery and i will reset the alarm(hopefully) by locking and unlocking at the door key, I have no remote either. I guess whoever traded this poor V-70 wanted to end it's driving life at 180K. Well, I am not giving up yet. Help

I have the same issue starting in my 2002 V70. The alternator just quite too, am just starting to put the battery connection back on after a new alt that I just put in. Low voltage can cause no end of Hell in these things. Good Luck
