When such codes are "too lean" you can expect an air leak AFTER the MAF.
Any such air leak BEFORE the MAF would be measured by the MAF and wouldn't trip a code.
If I was in your shoes I'd consider buying a new MAF sensor. There'd be no guarantee of success.
Unless you know what you're doing fully you run the risk of mistakenly throwing parts at a problem. Like I said, if I were you I'd take the chance.
