Hi everyone
i have problem my volvo 2.5 FT 2010.Motor icon shows and code is P217821. Car works normally but the engine light always comes on when i try to turn it off. I change oil breathing but it doesent help.

Does anyone have any advice?

 

I did a search of P2178 and it says "rich after idle....". Lots of mention of bad MAF sensor. The engine thinks it's getting more air than it actually is.

What was that "P217821" you wrote in your OP?

 

I dont know what that 21 means. OBD reader says that. Its same as 2178. I clean MAF, but it doesent help. Car works perfect ?? Can it be motor program update problem?

 

When such codes are "too lean" you can expect an air leak AFTER the MAF.

Any such air leak BEFORE the MAF would be measured by the MAF and wouldn't trip a code.

If I was in your shoes I'd consider buying a new MAF sensor. There'd be no guarantee of success.

Unless you know what you're doing fully you run the risk of mistakenly throwing parts at a problem. Like I said, if I were you I'd take the chance.
