Hi, the seat heater on the driver side is out, switch lights up high and low but no heat the passenger side works fine.
I found lots of info on older models but not much on the 02 v70 style seats.

first question can I unhook the battery then remove the seat without the airbag going off or setting the airbag light, do I need a red DISARM PLUG?

second can anyone tell me the plug and connector to probe for power and continuity of the heat coil.
I had the seat unbolted and I think its the green plug, but got worried about the sirs air bag system!

 

Anyone know about these seat heat issues? HELP

 

I don't know how it is on Volvo's but on BMW's you do need to disconnect the battery and let it sit for about 20 minutes for everything to discharge, otherwise SRS can possibly detect a fault when you are disconnecting wire harness and set the SRS light when you are done with everything.
