So 3 months ago my 2010 AWD3.2 XC70 came up a quart short 3500 miles before my scheduled oil change. Took her to the Volvo dealer they changed oil and instructed me to come back after 600 miles to re-weigh the oil. I did, they said everything seems fine and sent me on my way. So here we are again 3500 miles short of my oil change and I come up a quart short again. Now they tell me my pistons will need to be replaced as they were designed slightly too small in an attempt to be as fuel efficient as possible.

I have 56,400 miles and my warranty will be up at 60k Should I purchase extended coverage? If this continues to happen once my warranty runs out will it be covered as problem was noted and not properly fixed before warranty ran out? Help
