Just leased a 2016 xc70 the final year I am told. I also own the first production year, a 1998. I loved the fact that to has the lower fog lights and thought they cam in handy from time to time.

When I asked the guy how to turn the fog lights on in the 2016 I was told I was looking at lens with bulbs, i,e, cosmetic! I was shocked! What a terrible design decision.

Anyway has anyone been able to install fog lights in that position, I would really like to do that!

 

They're not cosmetic. Those should be DRLs which come on automatically.
