Question FM radio not working

2005 XC70. Speakers are in fine shape, CDs play fine. But radio does not, only getting static. No stations get recognized either, when I press seek ( >>| ), it just keeps searching forever. When it does land on a frequency, only static. Huge bummer, because I use a FM bluetooth transmitter to play music/podcasts from my phone.

Thoughts? Is it an antenna issue? Am I out of luck?

Since you don't have a 32 inch antenna sticking up from the car somewhere (like we all did years ago) - you have an antenna amplifier for the antenna built into one of your rear quarter windows. Have never had to replace one - or even really understand how they work! But they/it are listed in the parts catalog. Or you simply have a bad tuner. A 2005 has an input for an external cd changer - there are many (at least used to be ) vendors that make a device to be able to have an "aux" input to your tuner. (denison, USA spec, Grom, etc)
