Default I-phone compatibility

I love my 2007 XC70 and would like to play my music through the stereo system from my iphone. Is this a possibility? Should I do it through the dealership as opposed to a stereo shop. Thanks, Tehachapi Julie

Your 2007 does not have a auxiliary audio input unless its a 650 or 850 built after week 0648 (whatever that means) and if you have the accessory Bluetooth - that can only do phone calls. More info can be found on this page in the audio section.

Your choices would be aftermarket products that usually use the cd changer input on the back of your head unit. Companies such as denison, grom, usa spec probably still make an adapter. I used IMIV.ca products years ago and was very pleased - not sure they are sold anymore, but I had ipods in all my cars then. The last one I purchased came with a Bluetooth dongle and it actually worked!
