Default Need buying advice 2010 XC70 AWD Platinum trim

Hi,
I am new to Volvos, having driven my 2002 Mercury Sable Wagon into the ground this Dec., 2015.
Would welcome advice re: purchasing a non turbo 2010 XC70 from Volvo dealer who will certify it to extend coverage, but that would max out in 2 years.
36500 miles. 2 owners- one from 2005 till Oct. 2015. 2nd owner Oct.,2015 until Dec. 2015. That is the mystery. Dealer said it was a trade in. Checked Carfax and it was serviced 26 times from purchase till original dealer took it back on trade in. Servicing at original dealer till original warranty expired in Feb., 2014.
Asking price with CPO is $23,900.

I live in very icy, snowy Greater Boston. Concerned about this having a non turbo engine...and from my research...a Ford vintage engine [ which caused me massive headaches with my Mercury].

In two years when the CPO expires will the car have lost significant value?
Welcome thoughts about the asking price?
Should I pursue or run?
Need AWD vehicle.

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. For pricing simply search a 100 mile radius from your zip code using cars.com, autotrader.com, etc., to see if it is competitively priced. Will it still lose significant value? Yes. It is new enough it will still lose $3-4K a year for a couple of years yet and of course some of that is the dealer profit that will be made. But after a couple of years it will slow down to $1,500-2,000 a year. Assuming you drive cars for 8-10 years your ultimate average depreciation will fall in the $2,500 a year range.

2. No worries on the engine. It's not a Ford and it has 235 HP. Won't be a rocket ship, but will perform at or above what you have been accustomed to. In older Volvo's the inline 5 cyl 2.4/2.5 was the workhorse, but without the turbo it was a dog which is why the NA's weren't very popular before.

3. Once the warranty runs out get with a good local independent Volvo shop. Most of them are very good at making Volvo's run forever without breaking the bank. The dealer has a lot more overhead that forces them to charge a high labor rate for even simple repairs, so while they aren't ripping you off they can't help but be quite a bit more expensive. Make sure the car goes into the dealer inside the last 30 days of the warranty coverage and ask them to inspect the car for anything that would be eligible for a warranty repair. Most dealers are good at going over the car with a fine tooth comb for that.

Just negotiate your best deal if the car suits you otherwise. I did a quick search using the tools I suggested above and it didn't appear they are out of line with their asking price compared to other similar cars. I usually suggest craigslist also, but quite frankly the sell it yourself crowd rarely sells something that new/low mileage and if they are there is reason to be suspicious.

Are you looking at the 2010 in the title or the 2005 in the post?

$23,900 may be OK for a 2010 but not a 2005.

My wife has a 2010 with 60k. Had 50k of service from Volvo. I think its a very nice car and my wife loves it. Only thing out of ordinary was it needed front brake pads at 48k but that is probably driving habits. At 36000 the vehicle you are looking at should have had 5 services (7500 mi) 26 service trips sounds like the car has issues.Maybe the Volvo dealer will show you the service records. A consumer reports article reported that some of the 2010 xc70 had and issue consuming oil. Ford bought Volvo back around 2003 so you will see a lot of parts with FoMoCo.
