Default Why I Quit the Forum

I ran a rather large dealership and repair operation in Birmingham AL for 20 years. Owned everything free and clear. Came to this forum to offer advice for FREE based upon actual experiences.

Nearly every problem out there I have run into and fixed due to my 20 year experience with Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover. Volvo was about 70% of what we sold.

There are just too many self-acclaimed "experts" here that argue with everything that I said. None of them had the array of experience that I saw in a specialized dealership over a 20 year period, but they know everything.

I've been asked to return by several of you and want you to know that while I appreciate the invite, the climate here is just too toxic.

Haha this the the second time you've come back just to say this

No one is begging you to stay.

Except maybe the fake account you made to agree with yourself. (Still one of my all time favorite moments here)

You are the reason. Unless you have been snooping in my PM you have no basis to say that no one wants me back. You don't want me back because it would erode your position as the king of knowledge on this forum.

My bank account says that I had a successful run. Enjoy.

Then leave already. No one cares. You've proven what kind of person you are and the reviews for your business back that up. Why do you come back every 6 months just to say you're leaving after you got your panties in a bunch when I called you out for bad info given in one thread? Get over it already. If you were really an expert you'd know you can't possibly know everything and be open to criticism and learning more instead of making a fake account to corroborate yourself, throwing a tantrum and rage quitting (twice now)

I am going to write a letter to the forum's owner and ask that you be removed as a moderator. There was no reason to pounce on my thread and attempt to shame me unless you harbored a lot of anger and were looking for malice. That behavior is unbecoming of a moderator.

As a moderator, you are showing people that hate and anger are welcome in this site. While I did run a successful and profitable business for 20 years is not the issue, What is the issue is that I had oceans of hands-on experience with these vehicles that I offered to share. You continually made hateful comments and I'm sick of it.

Pounced on what thread? This one? I'm just pointing out that you keep coming back just to say you are leaving. You don't need to announce your departure.

And show me the hateful comments I made. I pointed out wrong information you were providing in that oil thread years ago and you haven't moved on.

You have absolutely NO RIGHT to come here and publicly shame my life's work. That alone is a violation of the board rules. As a moderator, you should know better.

Calling out my business (which my feedback on eBay ran between 99-100% as a car dealer) for the 20 year period speaks volumes. However, I'm going to ask you to resign as moderator since you cannot conduct yourself in a civil manner.

My PMs are full of messages about people needing assistance. I ask them to call me directly where I walk them through the procedures. For this reason, I posted the thread. I did not ask for your opinion and there was no need for moderation on the subject.

I am corresponding with the CEO of Internet Brands the forum administrator. I'm tired of being attacked by you.

But yet you cannot point to a single instance where I made hateful comments. So you can make accusations but not back them up.

And not one of your alleged fans has come to one of your rage quit posts and backed you up.

I never asked to be a moderator. No one ever asked me to be a moderator. I was just made one. So I don't really care.

I don't care about your ebay reviews. Your Google or yelp reviews specifically called you out for how you treated customers and not being able to let go. Those are gone now since your business is gone. But you have proven those reviews to be accurate more than once.

I'll close this thread now since it has nothing to do with 2001-2013 XC70s.

Since Tony decided to PM me but still refused to back up his allegations of hateful posts toward him, I will back up mine. He says I am making up stuff about reviews for his business. Here are the reviews for Grove Automotive, Inc. Childish and harassing... sounds about right since he has been dwelling on my correcting some bad info for so long and now is harassing me via PM.
