Just took European delivery on an XC70. At the factory we noticed the engine had a ticking sound while it idled. We asked that it be looked at to make sure nothing was wrong. They assured us it was a normal sound, but I don't remember the car I test drove here in the States sounding like that. Anyone have this sound during idle? I plan on having the dealer contact the factory before it gets on the boat to clear this up.

 

I had the same sound on idle and proved to be the belt tensioner on accesories belt!
