i just recently tried out the tape deck on this piece o' beauty, and to my shock and dismay, the tape not only did not play but is somehow lodged in the tape deck. i have tried everything to get it out, but since i bought the car used, i never got the manual for the stereo. there is no EJECT button. i have tried pushing the FF and REW button at the same time, as well as pressing pretty much every other button on the deck to try and get it to work. no luck.</P>


is there something i can do to get the tape out, or am i going to have to rip the entire stereo out? anyone else ever have this trouble?</P>


btw -- the stereo model (its very stock) is TD-3141.</P>

I had the same problem, 'cept mine would actually switch between radio and cassette player. I tried a screwdriver to pry it out, but no success. I finally took the whole radio out and manually took the tape out. Sorry if this is your only choise, as it is a hard one.

 

I know you posted this along time ago. But I am curious as to how you mean it got lodged in the deck. And what model of Volvo you have. I rember an older Volvo that you had to do something stange to get the tape out, it was along time ago so I dont quite rember what it was that you had to do.
