The suspension seems really bad...for lack of a better description. On the highway it's fine. But city driving, it's really bumby and uncomfortable...the whole cabin vibrates and rattles going over normal bumps, etc. The problem worsens with people in the car. It only has 70k miles. Is this a common complaint for this car? Are these symptoms indicative of a suspension that's too tight or too soft? What's the easiests (least expensive) way to make the ride more comfortable?

Secondly, when I hit potholes, there is an electric/mechanical sound coming from underneath as if a motor or something is trying to engage. It lasts only a few seconds, but it doesn't sound right. Is this traction control, ABS? Anyone have this symptom? Is it common, is something wrong?

Thanks in advance.
