Different ECU on 1,8 and B20f engine?
Hey I have just changed engine from a 1,8 to 2,0. I think the 1,8 enginewas B18U, but I`m not sure[:-]
Anyway.. My problem is that after I changed, the engine only goes up to 4500 rpm. When the car stands still, the engine sounds very poor.. And the pollution is very high. Is the ECU different on this two engines?
Thanks for answer

RE: Different ECU on 1,8 and B20f engine?
The control unit for the ignition is the same for both engines. It is in the engine compartment attached to the bulkhead (firewall) and has the ignition coil, again same for both engines, fastened to it.
The Engine Control Module on the 1.8 is under the right hand fascia. For some reason, knownonly toVolvo, the ECM on the 2.0 is behind the right hand kick panel.
