Default P1800 ES price

I see that prices for the estate of P1800 is quite high if the car is in very good shape. And I also see that the price is quite lower if the car needs some renovation or fixing although you still can drive and registrer the car (not complete renovation).

Why is this? Are ppl nowadays too lazy or too loaded to bother fixing them? In my view; many of these objects just need some cleaning, a few new parts and maybe a paint job to be in quite good shape. Parts are available at reasonable prices anyway, and the potential profit looks huge to me. Am I missing something?
