My friend has a volvo wagon, i belive that it is a 84 740 series, with a 4 cyl engine.</P>


He asked me if i can do a starter replacement, and after him asking me to work on his brakes and being completely unable to help him due to tool restraints on my behalf becuase of the contrcution of the brakes, i want to know if there is anything difficult about replacing the starter on his car.</P>


Any help would be appreciated.</P>

I think there are 3 17mm bolts to removing it. There is one of them that is a bitch to remove. I had to use a wrench with another wrench as an extension. Replacing a starter on a 240 is the same deal.</P>
