2004 S60 Sub/Amp
I have a 2004 S60 with the Hu-613, but with premium sound. I want to install a Kicker sub, and a Houston Auctustics amp. Is there a write up on how this is done? I've searched before and could not find it. This will be my first time trying to install a sub and amp into a Volvo, so is there anything to look out for?
Any help would be appreciated!

well if you are going with a sub and amp, i would go ahead and replace the head unit as well.
i'm assuming you are installing a mono amp (meaning it will just be powering your sub), then go to your local best buy and pick up a wiring kit for about 50$
then you need a wire from the pos. terminal of your battery to the amp, RCA from your head unit to your amp, ignition wire from head unit to amp, ground cable from your amp to a grounded source, and then wires from your amp to you sub. the hardest part is getting to the battery, the rest is pretty easy.
good luck, if you have any questions feel free to ask

Have you heard of interactive signal processors? Alpine and rockford make unique signal processors which will link directly to your factory head unit and allow you to connect multiple amps and speakers without replacing your HU. Rockford Fosgate makes two versions, the 3sixty.1 and 3sixty.2:

The 3sixty requires a PDA or smart phone to set up and operate. Very cool.
The Alpine version is less high techand a little cheaper depending on where you look, but just as effective.

Good luck.
