i have a question for everyone here that has installed an aftermarket HU in theirvolvo.

i have a 2000 C70 and i will be installing an aftermarket HU soon that is dolby surround capable. i currently have the dolby priemium system, but someone installed the SC-816 in there prior to me.

i was wondering, when you buy an aftermarket harness for the radio does it come with the plug for the surrround center stage drive and tweets in the dash??

you can pick them up at your local bestbuy or circuit city they run about 10$

i'm sure i can buy the radio harness at best buy, but i'm asking if the harness comes equipped to plug in the center staging drivers on the dash to an aftermarket radio or will i have to splice in to another mid / highs circuit in the harness to make it work?

 

Umm im not 100% sure but i know that if you are going to plug it into the same port as your factory deck came out of no there will be no sound. I belive the c70 just like a s70 has a hidden plug. I installed my deck yeasterday and its true there is a hidden plug what you do is follow your original harness and look for a big ***** of yellowish foam unwarp it and you find the ISO connector now plug in your news head unit an voila everything is working. having said that though im not 100% sure if your center speaker will work and your door speakers, as on my car my door subs atm are not working so im gonna check my harness see maybe i screwed up something.
