Default Electrical system failure

My 2005 XC90 has lost all instrument guages, power windows, climate control, interor lights. Headlights, power seats, turn signals still work. Car starts fine and runs with no problems. It appears to be a partial failure of the electrical system. I checked all fuses and they are ok.

The car is in for repair now - but the mechanics are "stumped".

Any suggestions?

It's the main control board. Same thing happened to my s60. Took The dealer a week to figure it out. Would happened when outside temps rise above 95 ..but replacing board has solved problem. Spendy..

Default Electrical System Failure

Problem solved! At least, temporarily - mechanic cleaned a main wiring harness and the system came back on line.

However, radio/cd player only works when the outside temp is below 50 degrees (C)

Yes - about 4 weeks later the entire system shut down again. Went back to the shop - the Mech found a bad ground wire connection in the running board on the driver side. Fixed it again.

I traded the Volvo in last November - best move I made all year. No more worries.

It's the main management panel. Same thing occurred to my s60. Took The supplier per weeks time to determine it out. Would occurred when outside temperature increase above 95 ..but changing panel has fixed problem.
