Default HU-613 vs HU-803

Aside form the obvious tape deck, what are the other differences between the HU-803 and HU-613 head units. I have a 803 and the CD player doesn't work. If i put in a 613 what will i be missing out on?

The 803 has the Pro-Logic circuit which gives you the center speaker output and a few listening modes. 803holds 4 discs, the 613 plays just one. The 803 has a PTY traffic information function, the 613 doesn't. The 803 has RDS to get song information from some FM stations. The 613, not.

I have a 613 and I was thinking of upgrading to the 803 and adding a center channel speaker, but I have a bunch of questions and haven't found any answers from this forum or others yet.
I was told that I need the PA-200 amp to make the 803 work. Is this true?
Does that mean the 803 has no internal amps, but the 613 does?
The PA-200 amp is a four channel amp. What powers the center speaker? Is there a single channel amp in the 803?
I considered buying a Dolby Digitalhead unit from JVC, but try finding an after market 5-channel amp to go with it!
My car is a 2003 S60.

I'm afraid i can't help with those questions either. I've taken my sytem out only to see why the CD player didn't work, i didn't take much notice of all of its outputs. I did find $2.05 worth of change inthe CD player that probably had something to do with it not working. The only reason i was looking at the 613 was for the tapedeck so i can plug my Media Player into it without an FM transmitter but i don't really want to lose the sound qulaity from the 803, its pretty damn good!! plus if can have 4 cds then i can live without my Media player in the car I guess.

Yes. pa-200 (50 watts x 4 channels) or pa-300 (75 watts x 4) plus the OEM wiring harness to hook it up. They show up on ebay occasionally. This one has everything you need. I bought one from them and it worked perfect. Remember to put a fuse in the fuse box on the left hand side of the dashboard between it and the driver's door.

Correct.

Yes, for the center channel only.

Kicker, JL Audio and several other companies make 5 channel amps. Check out Crutchfield or Cardomain. And from what I understand the center channel speaker, if you don't have one, is a 6.5". Buying an adapter from Quickbrick Motorsports:

The one at the bottom allows you to hook up an aftermarket amp to the stock radio.
