Default Steering wheel controls adapter for Pioneer AVIC?

I recently installed a Pioneer AVIC x710bt in my 2004 S60 which has significantly improved the sound from the stock radio. I installed the HD radio tuner as well as the ipod connection which both worked wonderfully. My only problem is that I would have like keeping the steering wheel contros but I have have found no adapter for Volvo steering wheel controls for the Pioneer AVIC serie. Does anybody on the forum know about a compatible connector for Volvo for the Pioneer AVIC?
Thanks
Al

Here is what you need http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...f+SWI-PS-.html

I had this installed on my 2005 Nissan Altima with the exact same head unit you have.

Thanks but I do not see Volvo in the list of compatible vehicle. I will contact them and ask.

Unhappy dietz adapter no longer available?

I've also been looking for a solution for the steering controls in my 05 V70 for a Kenwood in-dash nav. I used Google Translate to look at the Dietz website today and it appears they no longer have a steering wheel adapter for Volvo. They don't list Volvo on their steering wheel interfaces page. Crutchfield says they don't have a solution and don't know of one in the US. So I guess we're stuck unless someone else comes up with something. I ordered the remote control.

Many products available for Volvo's are not offered any more. Just means you need to look harder to find it. Site is for the manufacturer and not a supplier. Check vendors to see if they have any new old stock. Other wise your left to make the adapter that can do CAN bus or live without, GL.
