New Volvo owner and forum member here. My '96 850 has the SC-811 HU I believe....and I think I am going to go with the blitzsafe Ipod adapter.

My question is...is there a convenient and good looking place to run the cord too? thanks in advance for any help.

 

I likeputting it inthe glove box or in thecenter concel.You can leave it attached and nobody will know you have left it there.

 

The glove box is where I keep my iPod in my honda....but..my main goal is to put it in a place that looks clean and doesnt require me to drill a hole, pull up carpet or do something too invasive.

 

Personally I didn't feel like routing it under all the crap.

I routed it under the ashtray in my s70 and it sits right near the Ebrake. My Ipod sits there and the cord just wraps around.

However if you want stealth, then run it to the glovebox or center console arm rest area.

However with the BlitzSafe you do not have control of your Ipod through the headunit controls. You must change songs or whatever else through the Ipod itself.

 

Now the BlitzSafe adapter does work and nicely I might add and was an easy install.
