2000 V40 1.8i Throttle position sensor
Hi,
I have a 2000 plate V40 1.8i estate - sterling car (sales through the annual MOT test without a hiccup leaving German car owners looking enviously at my 25 quid bill) however it has started throwing up a P0220 OBD code. Allegedly the Throttle position sensor Switch B circuit. Unfortunately I can't find any online drawings that would allow me to check what this unit is. Prices I have been quoted are £450 (Volvo), £280 (independent garage) and £10 (eBay) for a part that will apparently fit. Have yet to dive under the dash and have a look but the eBay part seems to be a potentiometer that attaches to the pedal and that makes sense but is there a unit at the other tend of the wire this feeds into or is it straight into the EMU?
Grateful for any help solving this.
Thanks
Adam
