Puerto Rico - Where can "I find a Volvo Mechanic?
Hi! I just joined, with one burning question:
I recently moved to Puerto Rico, and I want to buy a Volvo here, but I don't know if I can find a mechanic. Does anyone know how I could find one? I live in Humacao, PR 00791 but if I found a good mechanic anywhere in PR I'd be happy.
Also, any ideas on where to find a good used Volvo 940?
Thanks!

I don't have a car yet, but I don't want to get anything used without having a good mechanic look at it first. I'm looking at Volvo 940s, and there are several in San Juan, so someone in Hato Rey would be great.
I can't find the business card from the guy in Hato Rey and I knew of one other guy whom worked on BMW's and Volvos In Villa Carolina out of his house. Let me see if I can ask my uncle whom lives there since I live in Florida now.
Though, 940's are so simple I bet you could do a look over yourself.. Maybe we can help you by posting findings on here about what to look for an/or avoid in what you are looking to possibly buy! What part of the Island you live in?
I live on the East side of Puerto Rico, but I'm pretty hopeless with cars. I left my treasured 1989 Volvo 240 on the mainland, and I'm looking for something that has the same durability. If I can't find a Volvo mechanic, though, I don't think I can make the plunge. AAA tows your car 100 miles, so I could technically get to almost anywhere on the island, but it would be great if I could find a mechanic on the island near Humacao 00791.
