Default Brake dust has met it's match!

For the last 2 weeks I have been using step 3 of the Michelin tire & wheel cleaning system http://www.michelinman.com/tire-care...care-products/. So far it seems to really cut down on the amount of brake dust buildup. The service manager at Volvo of Louisville (Kentucky) told me about it. I paid $5.99 USD at Autozone. Easy to use too. Just clean, dry, spray on and wipe off.

If you really want to cut down on the brake dust sticking to your wheels then try applying a good paint sealant like Duragloss 105 to your wheels. Allow it to haze and buff off just like you do to your paint. The sealant will allow you to wash 90-95% of the brake dust off with a water hose and cut down on elbow grease by a ton. I do this for my customers asan upsell to a full detail.

Most all Carquest Auto parts stores sell Duragloss or you can order directly from them here

http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=336

They have a flat shipping of $4.95. Their products are not that expensive and work incredibly well. You can also use the 105 Total Performance Polish on your paint for incredible looks and protection. It is one of the only products I have seen that really makes silvers and whites go WOW! Their 501 is a marine polish but is a better paint cleaning prep than any product out there!
