I want to switch my S80's crappy auto to the slick six speed manual. I just want to know what I should do and if it's unrealistic. I know the old 850's were commonly modded like this but I reeeeaaally want to do this. I know it'll probably be expensive but if I think I can do it I'll document it. I just don't want to eff anything up

 

are you planning on doing this yourself? if you have a few grand bring it to a mechanic who knows what theyre doing, there's a lot of modding to do with something like that..again if you have the money and resources of course its possible...your also looking at an ecu remap to adjust to the different powertrain

 

Exactly, this is something a MECH should do. I mean go at it if you think you can.

1. It will be more then a few grand garunteed.

2. I do not know what manual transmission bolts to the s80 if any. That is something you will have to talk to a dealership about.

3. It is an s80. Luxury vehicle. Unless you plan ungodly mods a manual will be worthless with a boat like the s80.
