Default Iridium vs. Platinum? Any advice?

Hello everyone. I am preparing to install plugs in my '05 XC90 V8 with 75K. Does anyone have any experience with Autolite or AC Delco double platinum plugs? Just wanted some opinions on whether I need to spring $92.00 for Volvo or $82.00 for NGK Iridiums. This is the first plug change for this car. I guess I can't argue with the mileage. The car still runs pretty smooth. 18.7 mpg average on the computer readout.
Thanks,
Dana

Platinums do last a little longer than iridiums, but iridium is much cheaper. I wouldn't spend the extra if you have a good viable option.

Regards, Andrew.

Unless you're running super hot, Copper are the most reliable. Volvo would be the best reliability since they are OEM, you can't really go wrong with them. I use those E3 Diamond Fire ones since they come with a 5-year warranty.

Spendind the extre 10 bucks is what i would do. Take the guess work and what ifs out of the picture for a cheap differance.

i run NGK iridium, sure they are more expensive but i feel as though it livened my car up a bit more than the Double Tipped Bosch Plat's that where in there.

I used the iridiums. Because it is quite cheap comparatively others. It also maintain the durability as well. I always prefer to go for iridiums.

Platinums do last a little more time than iridiums, but iridium is much less expensive. I wouldn't invest the additional if you have a excellent practical option
