can't clear a friend request?

can't clear a friend request?
someone sent me a 'friend request', and I can't seem to 'reject' it... I check the box next to their avatar (or check all, same thing), and select 'reject', then 'save', and nothing happens.

ahh, this must have gotten fixed, because i was finally able to delete this spurious friend request... I've been trying every week or so since I originally posted this.
