i was raised in a volvo/dodge family...as long as i can remember my mom has driven a volvo of some sorts...right now she has a 94 240 wagon..she lvoes the 240s...ive lost track of how many she has gone through...the last one before this wagon was a 240 sedan, loaded...i was in high school, and i pimped the volvo when they were away...

You don't see that many made up Volvo's like that anymore. Most of them are the newer one.I have a couple of friends here that have chevy 350 in their 740's.One is running like high 11's low 12's.The other is still in progress.
Volvo's are good cars and easy to work on.
The dodge forum is a nice place to relax and post.Im very happy with that forum.

my hoem track had a guy with a buci grand national driveline in a 78 240 wagon, and it ran 13 flat...
i dont get it..the new volvos are so nice..and my mom insists on sticking to her 240s!

The 240's are tanks and a ton more reliable than the newer ones.My buddy had a 240 in Puerto Rico stock engine beefed up a little with nitrous and best time run was 12.5.He likes building wicked cars out of stock 4 cylinder turbo's.
thats awesome..i got wasted last summer by a blacked out 840 (?) turbo...i thought..hmm..im gonna crush this volvo....until the heard the BOV scream...and he was running along with a GSR integra and a new EVO...i should have known better...[:@]
Alot of people turn Volvo's into nice sleepers. One time we had a Player from the Miami Dolphins stop by our Dealership. He showed us his S70 he had about 15 grand into the engine. All work done by an aircraft machine shop in georgia. He topped the car out at 175 mph.He never ran it at the track but I bet it was fast.
