Default Spanish edition

Lately I find that when I bring the forum web page up on my notebook I receive the "Spanish" edition. Do I have an issue with my computer or does the forum have a problem. I speak German and Englishbut not Spanish.

I have never seen anything in Spanish. How the heck does that work? If you type a message does it get translated to Spanish?

Jim all of our postings are in English but all of the 'ads' on the top and right side of the page are in Spanish. Quite frankly I was concerned that my notebook had been 'invaded' and taken over by a virus. My high school (2 years) of Spanish has failed me! TECH is aware of the problem and so I'm not going to worry any further. Thanks JPN.

Reg,

I got rid of the ads a long time ago using Adblock Plus and Firefox. IIRC they are using Google Ads, which can use your IP address to see where you are connecting from (GeoIP) or you browser preferences to select the language. It's probably just a glitch in the forum software.

The TOR network is great for that. It bounces your packets all over the globe just like in the movies.
