07 xc70 clock spring Help please
I have a 2007 xc70 that gave me the dreaded anti spin requires service. I noticed that when I start the car and turn the wheel 30-45 degrees to the left when pulling away dstc and anti spin off all go away and no warning lights. As soon as I turn 90 degrees to the left only the anti spin requires service comes on.
I bought a used clockspring from the same model and year xc70 and put it in. I now only get DSTC spin control off and anti skid temporarily off. I can not turn off any on with the reset button on the signal. Good news is there is no service required anymore.
I called the dealer and they said that I can not put in a used clockspring because it will not work no matter what i do. I was told by a different mechanic that it will just need calibration possibly.
Please tell me if any of this is true and am I going to be at volvo’s mercy to buy a brand new one
i do not have vida

What codes are stored? That should be your first step. I understand you don't have access to VIDA but there are many scan tools that can read those codes.
You really need to stop guessing, as you can see it can be very frustrating. If you are going to own this car for a while and work on it yourself - you will need an appropriate scan tool.
